STATEMENTS:
Each 100 mL of KelatoGEN Concentrate contains:
36 g of the condensation product of meta-cresol monosulphonic acids
and formaldehyde
CLAIMS:
An astringent and antiseptic concentrate for the topical treatment and
healing of persistent
capillary bleeding conditions in dogs, cats and horses only,
particularly oozing wounds,
ulcers or castrations where continuous bleeding may be a problem,
during and after
surgery.
KelatoGEN Concentrate is antibacterial and antifungal and is useful in
the treatment of all
cases of superficial skin injuries including proud flesh.
Indications:
For the treatment of bleeding wounds, persistent ulcers, abscesses,
eczema, furunculosis,
otitis externa, naval infections and for the treatment of proud flesh
in small animals
particularly dogs and cats.
Action:
• KelatoGEN products have antibacterial and antifungal activity by
virtue of their high
acidity and phenolic character. This coupled with the pseudo activity
of the condensed
formaldehyde makes a powerful antiseptic preparation.
• Bleeding is controlled by the haemostatic action of KelatoGEN on
the small blood
capillaries leading to the wound area. Healing is promoted by the
products astringent action
which gently cauterizes the open blood vessels and promotes the growth
of new tissue.
• KelatoGEN prevents the production of proud flesh so often
associated with wounds that
bleed persistently.
