Statement of Claims:
A tin-free self-polishing antifouling paint suited to coastal
environments and ideal for
application to yachts and boats in high fouling areas.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE-
SEAJET 039 PLATINUM MONO-COMPONENT ANTIFOULING is a tin-free,
self-polishing
antifouling suitable for coastal marine environments, and recommended
for yachts and
motor boats in high fouling areas.
Recommended use: For technical particulars refer to product data sheet
available from
Chugoku Paints.
Surface preparation: High pressure wash (+200 bar) to remove any
fouling and salt.
Existing antifouling in good condition: check the SEAJET compatibility
table before
applying.
Existing antifouling in poor condition: remove antifouling.
Antifouling should only be wet
sanded or chemically stripped. Never burn-off or dry sand old
antifouling.
New application:
GRP/Steel: first apply SEAJET 015 or SEAJET 117.
Wood: first apply SEAJET 015.
Aluminium: DO NOT USE SEAJET 039 PLATINUM MONO-COMPONENT ANTIFOULING
on aluminium surfaces.
Preferable preceding coating SEAJET 015 UNDERWATER PRIMER. When
applying direct
to SEAJET 117, apply within 48 hours.
Application conditions: Ensure the surface is dry and free of
contamination such as salt,
grease or oil. Degrease if required. Min. temperature: -5oC. Max
humidity: 85% R.H.

Recommended film thickness, wet, 114 μm; dry, 50 μm
