WHAT PRIME B6 IS USED FOR
It is used for treatment of vitamin B6
deficiency conditions.
HOW PRIME B6 WORKS
Vitamin B6 is involved in various
metabolic functions affecting protein,
carbohydrate and fat metabolism.
BEFORE YOU USE PRIME B6

Prime B6 if allergic to
pyridoxine or any ingredients in the tablet.

_- Before you start to use it _
Large doses of vitamin B6 in the uterus
may result in a vitamin B6 dependency
syndrome in the new born.
_- Taking other medicines _
Tell the doctor if you are using:
- chloramphenicol (for eye infections)
- antibiotics (cycloserine, ethionamide,
isoniazide or penicillamine)
- hydralazine (for high blood pressure)
- immunosuppressants (for cancer)
- levodopa (for Parkinson’s disease)
Also, tell your doctor if you are taking any
other medicines, including any that you
buy without a prescription from a
pharmacy, supermarket or health food
shop.
HOW TO USE PRIME B6
_- How much to use _
Convulsions caused by deficiency in
infants: 4mg/kg body weight daily for
short periods. Treatment of anaemia
(blood disorder) caused by deficiency:
Adult, 50 to 150mg daily in divided doses.
Some types of megaloblastic anaemia
caused by deficiency: 100 to 200mg daily.
Prevention against nerve inflammation of
people on isoniazid treatment: 150mg
daily. Children: 25 - 50mg daily.

and pharmacist carefully. They may differ
from the information contained in this
leaflet. If you do not understand the
instructions on the label, ask your doctor
or pharmacist for help.
