Without FOUNDERGUARD TM uncontrolled rapid fermentation results in build-up of lactic acid in the gut, which can increase the risk of founder (laminitis). Regular daily use of FOUNDERGUARD TM therefore minimises the harmful side- effects of high carbohydrate diets associated with grain feeding. To avoid any reduction in feed intake, FOUNDERGUARD TM should be introduced over 4 days beginning with 25% of the daily requirement and increasing by 25% each day until the recommended amount is administered.
