WHAT ALUCID IS USED FOR
Alucid is used for relief of gastric
pain, hyperacidity, heartburn and
flatulence.
HOW ALUCID WORKS
Alucid
contains
Aluminium
hydroxide, Magnesium hydroxide
and Polymethylsiloxane activated
(simethicone)
as
active
ingredients.
This
medicine
increases
the
pH
value
in
the
stomach, thus providing relief to
hyperacidity symptoms.
Alucid
also
reduces
the
acid
concentration within the cavity of
the
oesophagus.
This
increases
the pH and decreases the activity
of pepsin.
Aluminium hydroxide stimulates
the secretion of prostaglandin and
this protects the gastric mucosa.
Ask your doctor if you have any

medicine has been prescribed for

BEFORE YOU USE ALUCID

_When you must not take it_
Do not take this medicine if you
have
an
allergy
to
Aluminium
hydroxide, Magnesium hydroxide,
Simethicone or any of the other
ingredients
listed
at
the
end
of
this leaflet.
Do not take Alucid if you have
severe
kidney
function
impairment.
Do not take this medicine after
the
expiry
date
printed
on
the
pack or if the packaging is torn or
shows signs of tampering. If it
has expired or is damaged, return
it to your pharmacist for disposal.
If you are not sure whether you
should start taking this medicine,
talk to your doctor.

Tell
your
doctor
if
you
have
allergies to any other medicines,
foods, preservatives or dyes.
Tell
your
doctor
if
you
have
kidney problem and symptom of
appendicitis
(inflamed
and
painful appendix).
