a member of the macrocyclic lactone family
of
drenches.
It is
effective against
abamectin sensitive strains of adult and larval
stages of the following
internal
parasites:
Haemonchus contortus
Ostertagia
spp
Trichoslfongylusspp
Cooperia
spp
Nematodirus
spp
Dictyocaulus filaria
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
RESTRAINTS:
DO NOT USE in female
sheep
which
are
producing
or
may
in
the
future
produce
milk
or
milk
products
for
human
consumption.
DO NOT treat
lambs
under
six
(6)
weeks
of
age.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
SHAKE CONTAINER
WELL
BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT.
4FARMERS Abamectin can be administered orally through standard
accurate drenching
equipment.
Clean equipment thoroughly before and after use.
DOSE RATES:
A representative sample of animals should be weighed before treatment.
Dose sheep
orally to the heaviest
animal
by liveweight in each group (ewes,
rams and lambs) and
these should be weighed with scales or weighband.
Do not underdose.
Use 1 mL of Abamectin

FIRST AID MEASURES
Skin contact:
Remove contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated skin with soapy water.
If
skin irritation develops, get medical attention. Wash clothing
thoroughly before re-use.
Eye contact:
Rinse eye(s) with clean running water for 15 mins. Get medical
attention.
Ingestion:
Rinse mouth. Give water to drink if patient is conscious. DO NOT
induce
vomiting. If vomiting occurs ensure patient can breathe, then give
water to drink. Get medical attention.
Inhalation:
Remove the victim from exposure - avoid becoming a casualty. Keep at
rest
until fully recovered. If the effects persist, seek medical advice.
Note: Inhalation is very unlikely under
normal use practices.
Advice to doctor:
No specific antidote is known. Treat symptomatically. If large amounts
of
abamectin are consumed, neurological signs may develop and supportive
therapy may be required.
