PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION:
A 13.12 ACNE PREPARATIONS
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
This product has keratolytic properties.
It is used in the treatment of acne.
In vitro studies showed that this product can inhibit growth of A. niger, C. albicans, E. flocossum, M. canis and T.
mentagrophytes.
INDICATIONS:
SAStid Bar is used in the treatment of acne.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
None.
WARNINGS
FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY
Avoid contact with eyes.
DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Treatment of the skin: Using SAStid Bar, work up a lather with hot water, wash affected areas and rinse thoroughly, with
warm water. Make a second application lather, and massage the skin for a few minutes and pat dry without rinsing.
SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
If skin irritation occurs, discontinue use; salicylic acid may cause dermatitis.
KNOWN SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSAGE AND PARTICULARS OF ITS TREATMENT:
Excessive topical use of the product may result in drying and flaking of the skin. Following excessive topical use, use
emollients as necessary.
IDENTIFICATION:
A reddish-brown coloured, oval-shaped bar, imprinted with "STIEFEL" logo.
PRESENTATION:
SAStid Bar is presented as a 100 gram or 15 gram solid bar. It is packed in a printed cardboard carton.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
SAStid Bar should be stored at temperatures below 30° C.
