II is used as an additional
treatment for osteoarthritis (a condition
where the cartilage that cushions the
ends of bones in the joints deteriorates
over time).
How Procosa

II works
Procosa
TM
II contains glucosamine.
Glucosamine functions within the
body to promote and maintain the
structure and function of cartilage in
bone joints. Glucosamine stimulates
the production of key structural
components of joint cartilage, and is a
fundamental component of articular
cartilage that provides cartilage its
shock absorbing properties.

Do NOT use if you are allergic to
glucosamine and other ingredients
listed at the end of the leaflet
Do NOT use if you are allergic to
shellfish/seafood
Children, pregnant women, and
nursing mothers should avoid using
glucosamine.

Tell your doctor if you have any other
medical problems, especially diabetes
(blood sugars should be carefully
monitored).

Biochemically, glucosamine is involved in glycoprotein metabolism.
