WHAT NORIPAPAIN TABLET IS USED FOR
NoriPAPAIN
Tablet
is
indicated
for
oedema
and
swelling
(inflammation)
treatment
used
together
with
other
physical or chemotherapeutic measures.
HOW NORIPAPAIN TABLET WORKS
NoriPAPAIN
Tablet
contain
papain
that was derived from the papaya fruit.
Papain works by breaking down certain
proteins inside the body.
BEFORE YOU USE NORIPAPAIN TABLET

Do not take NoriPAPAIN Tablet

If
you
have
any
generalised
or
systemic infections.

If you have blood clotting disease.

If you are on concomitant therapy
with anticoagulant.

Do not take NoriPAPAIN Tablet if you
are
pregnant
or
plan
to
become
pregnant
or
think
you
might
be
pregnant.
Do not take NoriPAPAIN Tablet if you
are breast-feeding. Ask your doctor or
pharmacist for advice before taking any
medicine.

Tell your doctor if you are taking any
other medicines, including any that you
buy without a prescription from your

anticoagulant
medicine (class of drugs that work to
prevent the coagulation of blood) since
the anticoagulant medicine may interact
with your NoriPAPAIN Tablet.
Your

may
decide
if
NoriPAPAIN Tablet is okay for you or

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
NoriPAPAIN 10 000 USP Units Tablet: Greenish blue, round shaped
tablet.
NoriPAPAIN 150 000 USP Units Tablet: Light green round shaped tablet.
PHARMACODYNAMIC
NoriPAPAIN Tablet
contain papain that
was derived from the papaya fruit.
Papain contains
substances called enzymes works by breaking down certain proteins
inside the body.
PHARMACOKINETIC
There is no data for pharmacokinetic available.
INDICATION
Indicated
for
oedema
and
inflammation
treatment
used
together
with
other
physical
or
chemotherapeutic measures.
RECOMMENDED DOSAGE
Adults:
2 tablets 4 times daily one day before surgery followed by 1 tablet 4
times daily for about 5 days.
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION
Oral.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Papain is contraindicated in patients with blood clotting and
generalised or systemic infections.
Concomitant use with anticoagulant.
WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS
It should be given with caution in pregnancy or in person with kidney
or liver disease.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
Especially the anticoagulant medicine since the medicine may interact
with NoriPAPAIN Tablet
ADVERSE EFFECTS
Urticaria, pruritus, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea have
been observed following
administration of papain and sensitisation may occur.
