Date of revision WHAT IS LADOCORT USED FOR LADOCORT is used to treat inflamed/itchy fungal infections of the skin. HOW LADOCORT WORKS LADOCORT contains an antifungal (Miconazole) which kills fungi while a mild topical steroid (Hydrocortisone) reduces swelling, redness and itching of the inflamed skin. BEFORE YOU USE LADOCORT This product is suitable for most adults and children but a few people should not use it. If you are in any doubt, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. _-When you must not use it _ - If you are allergic to miconazole nitrate, hydrocortisone, bisulfites, any of the other ingredients of LADOCORT or to other similar antifungal medicines. This product contains sodium metabisulfite that may cause serious allergic reactions in certain people. - If you have any other skin infections such as COLD SORES, HERPES, CHICKEN POX, OR SHINGLES . Only use it for the skin problem that you showed the doctor. Do not use this medicine if any of the above applies to you, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using LADOCORT. _-Before you start to use it _ Tell to your doctor or pharmacist before using LADOCORT if: - You are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine. Treatment of large surfaces and the application under occlusive dressing should be avoided during that time. _-Taking other medications _ Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines. Miconazole administered systemically is known to inhibit CYP2C9 enzyme system. Due to the limited systemic availability after topical application, clinically relevant interactions occur very rarely.
