WHAT _CIMULCER_ IS USED FOR
•
Inhibit gastric acid secretion
•
Gastric and duodenal ulcer
•
Abnormal excessive secretion of
gastric acid such as Zollinger-
Ellison syndrome
HOW _CIMULCER_ WORKS
Cimetidine
inhibits
stimulation
and
secretion
of
gastric
acid
and
reduces
output of pepsin enzymes. Also, it effects
on the reduction secretion of body fluids.
Cimetidine
also
provide
protection
to
cells against harmful agents and has a
beneficial
effect
in
maintaining
the
gastric mucosal lining.
BEFORE YOU USE _CIMULCER_
_- When you must not use it _
•
If you are allergic (hypersensitive)
to cimetidine or any components of
the preparation.
•
If you are pregnant

_Pregnancy and lactation _
Do
not
take
_Cimulcer _
if
you
are
pregnant, trying to get pregnant or think
you may be pregnant.
Cimetidine
was
detected
in
the
breast
milk. Do not take
_Cimulcer _
if you are
breast-feeding.
Ask
your
doctor
or
pharmacist for advice before taking any
medicine.

Check with your doctor or pharmacist
before taking

if you have
impaired kidney function should be
excluded before starting the treatment.

_Taking other medicines _
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if
you are taking:

Coumarin anticoagulant (prevent
blood clotting)
•
Phenytoin (control seizures)
•
Propranolol (beta-blocker)
•
Benzodiazepines (treat anxiety)
•
Lidocaine (local anaesthetic)
•
Theophylline (prevent and treat
asthma)
•
Metronidazole (antibiotic)
•
Triamterene (diuretic), including
any that you buy without a
prescription from a pharmacy,
supermarket or health food shop.
