What Calazite Lotion is used for
Calazite Lotion is used for the relief of
skin irritations due to insect bites,
prickly heat, sunburn, cosmetic, nappy
rash and other minor skin irritations.
How Calazite Lotion works
Calazite Lotion contains calamine
which used to treat itching by
producing a counter-irritant effect
when applied on the skin. It produces a
cooling effect and giving relief from
skin irritation.
Before you use Calazite Lotion
- When you must not take it
Do not take if you are hypersensitivity
to Calamine, Zinc Oxide, Benzyl
Alcohol or any other ingredients in this
product.
- Before you start to use it
As this preparation contains benzyl
alcohol, its use should be avoided in
children under 2 years of age.
Not to be used in neonates.
- Taking other medicines
No known interaction with other
medicaments, it is advice not to use
other skin products on the affected
area.
How to take Calazite Lotion
- How much to take
1. Apply the lotion onto the affected area of
skin.
2. Allow the lotion to dry on the skin.
- When to take it
Apply the lotion when needed.
- How long to take it
Apply the lotion up to 3 to 4 times a day.
- If you forget to take it
If you forget to take Calazite Lotion, take it
as soon as you remember.
- If you take too much (overdose)
Overdose is unlikely occur. In the event of
accidental ingestion, the patient should be
send to the nearest hospital for medical
advice.
While you are using Calazite Lotion
- Things you must do
Check with your doctor if symptoms
persist or getting worse.
- Things you must not do
Do not take Calazite Lotion to treat any
other conditions unless your doctor or
pharmacist tells you so.
