WHAT BACTIDOL
® IS USED FOR
For the symptomatic relief of mouth and
throat infections including mouth ulcers
caused by susceptible bacteria and fungus.
HOW BACTIDOL
® WORKS
Hexetidine has a broad-spectrum
antibacterial and antifungal effect
appropriate for bacteria or fungus
responsible for mouth and throat infections.
BEFORE YOU USE BACTIDOL

_When you must not use it _
Do not use BACTIDOL
®
if you are allergic
to hexetidine or any of the other
ingredients listed at the end of the leaflet.
_Pregnancy and lactation _
Ask for your doctor’s advice if you are
pregnant or breastfeeding, or likely to get
pregnant or breastfeed during your course
of medication.

_Before you start use it _
Read the instructions carefully. If you do
not understand the instructions on the label,
ask your doctor, dentist or pharmacist for
help.

_Taking other medicines _
Tell your doctor if you are taking any other
medicines, including any that you buy
without a prescription from a pharmacy,
supermarket or health food shop.
HOW TO USE BACTIDOL
®

_How much to use _
Thoroughly rinse the mouth or gargle
with at least 15ml of BACTIDOL
®
for 45
seconds, 2 to 3 times daily. Do not
dilute. For best results do not rinse
mouth with water after using
BACTIDOL
®
.

Use 2 to 3 times daily. If you have any
questions regarding BACTIDOL
®
, ask
your doctor, dentist or pharmacist.

Use as directed by your doctor, dentist or
pharmacist.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist on
what you should do if you forget to use
it.
