Surgical Ablation System.It is a hand-held, single patient use electrosurgical instrument that uses bipolar radiofrequency energy to ablate cardiac tissue that is clamped between the instrument jaws, and may also be used for the ablation of soft tissues. The AtriCure? Isolator Synergy? Access? Clamp is indicated for ablation of cardiac tissue during surgery including pulmonary vein isolation and atrial connecting lesions for the Maze procedure for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation.
