 TRADE NAME OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT  
Actifed Syrup. 
 QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION  
Actifed Syrup contains 1.25mg triprolidine hydrochloride and
30mg pseudoephedrine hydrochloride in 
each 5ml. It also contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate and
sodium benzoate as preservatives. 
Other excipients include sucrose, glycerol,
quinoline yellow E104, sunset yellow E110, sodium hydroxide, 
purified water. 

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM  
Oral solution. 

CLINICAL PARTICULARS  
THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS  
Actifed Syrup is indicated for the symptomatic relief of upper
respiratory tract disorders which are 
benefited by a combination of a histamine H
1
-receptor antagonist and a decongestant of the mucous 
membranes of the upper respiratory tract, especially the nasal mucosa
and sinuses, such as:  
              Allergic rhinitis; 
              Vasomotor rhinitis; 
              The common cold and influenza. 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION 
For oral administration only. 
Do not exceed the stated dose or frequency of dosing. 
Dose: Three times daily. 
ADULTS 
(INCLUDING THE ELDERLY)
 AND CHILDREN AGED OVER 12 YEARS AND OVER:  
10ml oral solution taken every 4-6 hours as requ
