1. WHAT PERIDYS 1 MG/ML, ORAL SUSPENSION, IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR?
This medicine contains domperidone, a substance belonging to the
family of dopamine
antagonists. It acts on the intestinal motility.
In adults it is indicated for the relief of nausea and vomiting,
sensations of bloating, genes or
gastric regurgitation (lift the stomach contents into the mouth).
In children, it is indicated for the relief of nausea and vomiting

If your doctor has told you about intolerance to some sugars, contact
your doctor before taking
this medicine.
NEVER TAKE PERIDYS 1 MG/ML, ORAL SUSPENSION IN THE FOLLOWING CASES:
Known allergy to domperidone or one of the components of the medecine
Prolactin hypophyseal tumor (prolactinoma).
Gastrointestinal haemorrhage, mechanical obstruction or digestive
perforation.
IN CASE OF DOUBT, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO ASK ADVICE FROM YOUR DOCTOR OR
PHARMACIST.
BE CAREFUL ABOUT PERIDYS 1 MG/ML, ORAL SUSPENSION IN THE FOLLOWING
CASES:
The use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with fructose
intolerance (a rare
hereditary disease).

DONNEES CLINIQUES
4.1.
INDICATIONS THÉRAPEUTIQUES
ADULTES
Soulagement des symptômes de type nausées et vomissements,
sensations de distension
épigastrique, gênes au niveau supérieur de l’abdomen ou
régurgitations gastriques.
ENFANTS
Soulagement des symptômes de type nausées et vomissements.
4.2.
POSOLOGIE ET MODE D'ADMINISTRATION
Il est recommandé de prendre PERIDYS avant les repas. Si le
médicament est pris après les
repas, son absorption est quelque peu retardée.
La durée initiale du traitement est de quatre semaines. Les patients
doivent être examinés à
nouveau après quatre semaines et la nécessité de poursuivre le
traitement sera alors évaluée.
ADULTES ET ADOLESCENTS (PLUS DE 12 ANS ET PLUS DE 35 KG)
10 ml à 20 ml (de suspension buvable contenant 1 mg de dompéridone
par ml) trois ou quatre
fois par jour, la dose quotidienne maximum étant de 80 ml .
NOURRISSONS ET ENFANTS
de 0,25 à 0,5 mg/kg trois ou quatre fois par jour, la dose
quotidienne maximum étant de 2,4
mg/kg (sans toutefois dépasser 80 mg par jour).
4.3.
CONTRE-INDICATIONS
PERIDYS est contre-indiqué dans les cas suivants :

Hypersensibilité connue au dompéridone ou à l’un des excipients,

Tumeur hypophysaire à prolactine (prolactinome).
PERIDYS ne doit pas être utilisé lorsque la stimulation de la
motricité gastrique peut s’avérer
nocive : hémorragie gastro-intestinale, obstruction mécanique ou
perforation digestive.
4.4.
MISES EN GARDE SPÉCIALES ET PRÉCAUTIONS D'EMPLOI
