Everolimus belongs to a group of medicines called immunosuppressants.
It is used in adults to prevent
the body’s immune system from rejecting a transplanted kidney, heart
or liver.

such as ciclosporin for kidney and
heart transplantation, tacrolimus for liver transplantation, and
corticosteroids.
