Difflam HEXTRA Sore Throat
Lozenges 2.4mg is used as an
antiseptic and local anaesthetic for the
relief of sore throat and its associated
pain.

Hexylresorcinol which is an
anaesthetic to bring soothing relief of
pain and discomfort.
BEFORE YOU USE DIFFLAM HEXTRA
SORE THROAT LOZENGES 2.4MG

Do not use this medicine if you are
hypersensitive to any of the ingredients
in this product.

Please do not take this medicine if you
have hereditary fructose intolerance,
glucose-galactose malabsorption
syndrome or sucrose-isomaltase
deficiency.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Purple coloured, round, flat, bevelled shaped lozenges.
COMPOSITION
Each lozenge contains
Hexylresorcinol 2.4mg
PHARMACODYNAMICS
Hexylresorcinol is a local anaesthetic for topical use on the mucous
membranes of the
mouth and throat. Mild antiseptic activity has also been demonstrated.
The product
base has a demulcent action.
INDICATIONS
As an antiseptic and local anaesthetic for the relief of sore throat
and its associated pain.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Adults & Children 6 years & over:
1 lozenge to be dissolved slowly in the mouth every 3 hours as
required up to a maximum
of 12 lozenges per day.
Children under 6 years:
Not Recommended.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
Do not exceed the stated dose.
If symptoms persist, have not improved, or have worsened, consult a
doctor or health care
professional. Patients with hereditary fructose intolerance,
glucose-galactose malabsorption
syndrome or sucrose-isomaltase deficiency should not take this
medicine.
