CONSTITUENT
STATEMENTS:
50mg phenylpropanolamine hydrochloride per tablet.
CLAIMS:
For use by or under direction of a registered veterinarian.
For use in dogs to control urinary incontinence associated with
urethral sphincter
hypotonus.
NET CONTENTS:
60 tablets

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Use as directed by prescribing veterinarian.

RESTRAINTS:
DO NOT use in pregnant or lactating bitches.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
This product is contraindicated for use in animals with non-selective
monoamine oxidase
inhibitors.
This product is contraindicated in animals with known hypersensitivity
to the active
substance, phenylpropanolamine (PPA) hydrochloride.
This product should not be used in dogs used for breeding purposes.
PRECAUTIONS:
Use with caution, as the active constituent, phenylpropanolamine (PPA)
hydrochloride
is a sympathomimetic agent. PROIN CHEWABLE TABLETS may cause
hypertension
therefore, use with caution in dogs with pre-existing heart disease,
hypertension, liver
disease, kidney insufficiency, diabetes, glaucoma and conditions with
a predilection for
hypertension. RLP APPROVED
Use with caution when treating animals with severe renal or hepatic
insufficiency, diabetes
mellitus, hyperadrenocorticism, glaucoma or other metabolic disorders.
Use PROIN CHEWABLE TABLETS with caution in dogs receiving
sympathomimetic drugs,
tricyclic antidepressants or monoamine oxidase inhibitors, as
increased toxicity may result.
Use with caution in dogs with incontinence due to urinary tract
infection due to masking of
symptoms. PROIN CHEWABLE TABLETS are not effective in dogs with
incontinence due
to neurologic disease or malformations.
Use PROIN CHEWABLE TABLETS with caution in dogs administered
halogenated
gaseous anaesthetics as this may
