LISTABLE CHEMICAL PRODUCTS
PUBLICATION OF ESTABLISHED STANDARDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 56D(8)
On 27 September 2007, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for
Agriculture, Fisheries and
Forestry, the Hon Sussan Ley MP approved two standards for listable
chemical products. These
standards are the established standards for swimming pool and spa
products and joint health
products for dogs and horses.
Subsection 56D(8) of the Agvet Codes requires the APVMA to cause a
copy of the standard
established for a listable chemical product to be published in the
Gazette.
In accordance with that subsection, the APVMA hereby publishes the two
standards below.
For further information regarding the application process for
obtaining listed registration for
swimming pool and spa products and joint health products for dogs and
horses, please contact the
Pesticides or Veterinary Medicines Programs respectively.

SECTION 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES
SWALLOWED
• If swallowed do NOT induce vomiting.
• If vomiting occurs, lean patient forward or place on left side
(head-down position, if possible) to maintain open airway and
prevent aspiration.
• Observe the patient carefully.
• Never give liquid to a person showing signs of being sleepy or
with reduced awareness; i.e. becoming unconscious.
EYE

If this product comes in contact with the eyes:
• Wash out immediately with fresh running water.
• Ensure complete irrigation of the eye by keeping eyelids apart and
away from eye and moving the eyelids by occasionally lifting
the upper and lower lids.
