Insect Growth Regulator Dip and Jetting Fluid for control of Blowfly
Strike and
Lice Infestation on Sheep.
ACTIVE INGREDIENT:
250g/L Diflubenzuron an insect growth regulator.
Mode Of Action: Diflubenzuron is a stomach and contact poison.
It acts by inhibiting the production of chitin (a compound that makes
the outer
hard covering of the insect) and so interferes with the formation of
the insect’s
cuticle. This action prevents juvenile insects reaching adulthood. To
reach
adulthood from eggs, insects pass through several developmental
stages. At
each stage a cuticle is deposited to protect that stage and allows for
the
transformation to the next stage.
BY LAW THE USER MUST TAKE DUE CARE, OBTAINING EXPERT ADVICE WHEN
NECESSARY, TO
AVOID UNNECESSARY PAIN AND DISTRESS WHEN USING THE PRODUCT OTHER THAN
AS DIRECTED
ON THE LABEL.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Shake well before use
Fleecemaster is an aqueous suspension to be applied (after dilution)
by jetting,
plunge and saturation showers.
FLYSTRIKE CONTROL:

(1:666) Lambs-moderate flystrike pressure 150mL/100L
(1:400) Lambs-severe flystrike pressure 250mL/100L
LICE CONTROL:

When Fleecemaster is used as directed it is formulated to provide
protection from
flystrike and to prevent further growth of developing larvae. Variable
protection
up to 12 weeks can be expected, depending on fly pressure.
