Primary hypercholesterolemia: Ezecor administered with an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) or alone are indicated as adjunctive therapy to diet for use in patients with primary (heterozygous familial and non-familial) hypercholesterolemia. Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH): Ezecor administered with a statin are indicated for use in patients with HoFH.Patients may also receive adjunctive treatments (e.g. LDL apheresis).Homozygous sitosterolemia (Phytosterolemia): Ezecor are indicated for use in patients with homozygous familial sitosterolemia.

COMPOSITION
Each tablet contains:
Ezetimibe 10 mg

READ THIS LEAFLET CAREFULLY IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE
USING THE MEDICINE.
• This leaflet contains concise information about
EZECOR. If you have further questions, ask your
doctor or pharmacist.
• This medicine has been prescribed to treat
you. Do not pass it on to others. It may harm
them, even if it seems to you that their medical
condition is similar.
• EZECOR is not intended for children under the
age of 10.
1. WHAT IS EZECOR INTENDED FOR?
EZECOR is a medicine used to lower high levels
of fat in the blood.
EZECOR is sometimes given in combination with
medicines from the statins family (e.g., simvastatin,
atorvastatin etc.); in such a case, carefully read
the patient leaflet of the statin before starting
treatment and consult your doctor.
THERAPEUTIC GROUP:
Ezetimibe belongs to a group of medicines
called CAI (cholesterol absorption inhibitors),
which inhibit the absorption of cholesterol in the
intestines.
2. BEFORE USING EZECOR DO NOT TAKE EZECOR:
� if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to ezetimibe
or to any of the other ingredients of EZECOR
(also see section 6).
� in combination with a statin, if you currently
have liver problems.
� in combination with a statin, if you are
pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking EZECOR together with a statin,
please read the patient leaflet of that particular
medicine.
If you think that any of these apply to you, do
not take the tablets until you consult with your
doctor.
SPECIAL WARNINGS REGARDING USE OF EZECOR SPEAK TO YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE TAKING EZECOR
� Tell your doctor of all your medical conditions,
including allergies.
� The doctor will refer you to do blood tests before
you start taking EZECOR with a statin. This is in
order to check your liver function.
