WHAT EUROFER IS USED FOR
Eurofer
is
used
for
the
treatment
or
prevention of iron-deficiency anaemia.
HOW EUROFER WORKS
Eurofer syrup contains iron supplement
that helps to improve the absorption of
iron in the gut, to replenish storage of
iron in the body.
BEFORE YOU USE EUROFER

_When you must not use it _

Do not take Eurofer and to inform your
doctor or pharmacist if you:

are allergic to iron or any other
ingredients of this medicine (listed
in Product Description)

suffer
from
iron
overload
conditions
or
other
blood
disorders (eg. haemochromatosis,
haemosiderosis,
thalassemia,
anaemia).

are
an
individual
receiving
repeated blood transfusions.

_Before you start to use it _

_Pregnancy and lactation _
Iron deficiency anaemia is likely to
develop
during
pregnancy
and
lactation.
Please
consult
your
doctor
or
pharmacist
if
you
are
pregnant,
planning
for
pregnancy
or
breast-
feeding before using any medicine.

_Taking other medicines _
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you
are taking:

Antacids and mineral supplements
containing
compounds
such
as
calcium, magnesium, phosphorus
and zinc

Tetracycline,
chloramphenicol,
acetohydroxamic
acid
(for
treatment of infections)

Trientine,
dimercaprol
(used
to
remove heavy metals)

Vitamin
C
(ascorbic
acid
and
citric acid).
Your doctor may instruct you to take
Eurofer 2 to 3 hours apart from the
above medicines listed.
Tell your doctor if you are taking any
other medicines, including any that
you buy without a prescription from a
pharmacy,
supermarket
or
health
food shop.
