This product is ready to use and needs no further preparation. Amgrow
Sir Walter Buffalo
Lawn Pest Control granules will rid your lawn of Lawn Beetles and
Grubs that can damage
grass and roots. The granular form ensures maximum penetration of
soil. If lawn areas have
excessive thatch on the soil surface this can reduce the effectiveness
of the insecticide.
ACTIVE CONSTITUENT: 50 g/kg CHLORPYRIFOS (an anticholinesterase
compound)

_THE LIFECYCLE OF LAWN BEETLES_
Adult beetles feed on grass roots from September to November. Eggs are
laid in October and
November and then the adult beetles die. Within two weeks, eggs hatch
to tiny grubs which
feed on grass roots from November to January. Grubs then bury deeply
in the soil, and change
to beetles during February. The newly hatched beetles feed on g

_EMERGENCY OVERVIEW _
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION & COLOUR: Off-white granulated solid. 
ODOUR: Mild odour. 
MAJOR HEALTH HAZARDS: Chlorpyrifos is harmful to humans. Poisoning
from chlorpyrifos may affect the 
central nervous system, the cardiovascular system, and the
respiratory system. It is also a skin and eye 
irritant. Studies in humans suggest that skin absorption of
chlorpyrifos is limited. Symptoms of acute 
exposure to organophosphate or cholinesterase-inhibiting compounds may
include the following: 
numbness, tingling sensations, in-coordination, headache, dizziness,
tremor, nausea, abdominal cramps, 
sweating, blurred vision, difficulty breathing or respiratory
depression, and slow heartbeat. Very high doses 
may result in unconsciousness, incontinence, and convulsions or
fatality. Harmful in contact with skin, and 
if swallowed.
