Acyclovir Denk 200, a fim de evitar a infecção do seu
bebé.
Doentes idosos
Os doentes idosos sofrem com maior frequência de
compromisso da função renal. Por isso, recomenda-se
verificar a função renal neste grupo de doentes e
assegurar que são tomados líquidos suficientes com
cada dose. Se necessário, o médico prescritor pode
ajustar a dose (ver “Como tomar
Acyclovir Denk 200”).
Condução de veículos e utilização de máquinas
Até à data, o aciclovir não demonstrou ter qualquer
efeito sobre a capacidade de conduzir e utilizar
máquinas.

Acyclovir Denk 200
Tome este medicamento exactamente como indicado
pelo seu médico ou farmacêutico. Fale com o seu
médico ou farmacêutico se tiver dúvidas.
A dose recomendada é:
Utilização em adultos
_Para infecções por herpes simplex:_
Uma dose única de 1 comprimido (200 mg de aciclovir)
5 vezes ao longo do dia em intervalos de 4 horas.

Aos doentes imunologicamente saudáveis é adminis-
trada uma dose única de 1 comprimido (200 mg de
aciclovir) 4 vezes ao dia em intervalos de 6 horas. Em
casos individuais, a profilaxia eficaz também pode ser
obtida com a administração de 1 comprimido (200 mg
de aciclovir) 3 vezes ao dia em intervalos de 8 horas ou
de 1 comprimido (200 mg de aciclovir) 2 vezes ao dia
em intervalos de 12 horas.
Para a profilaxia, aos doentes imunodeprimidos é ad-
ministrada uma dose única de 1 comprimido (200 mg
de aciclovir) 4 vezes ao

CLINICAL PARTICULARS
4.1
THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
Acyclovir Denk 200 is indicated for the treatment of herpes simplex
virus (HSV) infections of the skin
and mucous membranes including initial and recurrent genital herpes
(excluding neonatal HSV and
severe HSV infections in immunocompromised children).
An attempt at preventive treatment is indicated in adult patients
suffering from very severe forms of
very frequently recurring genital herpes simplex infections.
4.2
POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
POSOLOGY
Adults
_For herpes simplex infections_
One single dose of 200 mg aciclovir 5 times throughout the day at
intervals of 4 hours.
_For prophylaxis against severe forms and very frequently recurring
genital herpes simplex infections_
Immunologically healthy patients are given a single dose of 200 mg
aciclovir 4 times daily at intervals
of 6 hours. Alternatively, 400 mg aciclovir can also be administered
daily at intervals of 12 hours. In
individual cases, effective prophylaxis can also be achieved with a
dosage of 200 mg aciclovir 3 times
daily at intervals of 8 hours or 200 mg aciclovir twice daily at
intervals of 12 hours.
If recurrence (breakthrough infection) occurs despite this daily total
dose of 800 mg, 200 mg aciclovir
should be administered 5 times throughout the day at intervals of 4
hours for 5 days, as stated in the
dosage for herpes simplex infections. Thereafter, the above dosage is
given again.
For prophylaxis, immunosuppressed patients are given a single dose of
200 mg aciclovir 4 times daily
at intervals of 6 hours.

Severely immunosuppressed patients, e.g. after organ transplants, can
be administered a single dose of
400 mg aciclovir 4 times daily at intervals of 6 hours. Alternative
