Apply when weeds are actively growing and at the 2-8 true leaf stage.
Use
the high rate for larger weeds and those listed as moderately
susceptible. To
minimize crop scorch on turnips use the low rate when weeds are at the
4 true
leaf stage.
Under good growing conditions weeds reach the ideal stage for
treatment 3-4 weeks after sowing. Larger weeds and those growing under
harsh conditions
(especially soil moisture deficit) may only be suppressed. Crops need
to be dense and growing well to provide competition after treatment
for the best overall
weed control. Some visual crop scorch may occur in the first 7 days
especially in turnip crops. This effect will be outgrown within 2 to 3
weeks.
MIXING: Pour the correct quantity of Pycus into a partly filled spray
tank with the agitator running. Continue agitation while filling,
spraying and during any
stoppages. Use all spray mixture on the day of mixing.
APPLICATION: Use 100 to 300 litres of water per hectare via
conventional aerial or ground boom equipment that will achieve
thorough weed coverage. Use a
higher water rate when weeds are dense. Do not add spraying oil or
extra surfactant to Pycus encaps spray mix.
EQUIPMENT: Spray equipment should be decontaminated before and after
using Pycus encaps. Ensure disposal of cleaning water does not contact
desirable
plants or contaminate soil within the ro
