DESCRIPTION
Chewette C -100Tablet :
Round, orange uncoated tablet with shallow depression on both faces
and "CHEWETTE 100" embossed
(Orange Flavour)
on one face.
Chewette C-100 Tablet : Round, purple uncoated tablet with shallow
depression on both faces and "CHEWETTE 100" embossed
(Blackcurrant Flavour)
on one face.
Chewette C-250 Tablet :
Round, orange uncoated tablet, bevel-edged, shallow depression on both
faces and "CHEWETTE 250"
(Orange Flavour)
embossed on one face.
Chewette C-500 Tablet :
Round, orange uncoated tablet with shallow depression on both faces
and "CHEWETTE 500" embossed

COMPOSITION
Chewette C Tablet
:
Ascorbic Acid 65mg and Sodium Ascorbate 40mg equivalent to 100mg of
Vitamin C per tablet.
Chewette C-100 Tablet : Ascorbic Acid 56.7mg and Sodium Ascorbate
51.2mg equivalent to 100mg of Vitamin C per tablet.
(Blackcurrant Flavour)
Chewette C-250 Tablet :
Ascorbic Acid 165mg and Sodium Ascorbate 95.6mg equivalent to 250mg of
Vitamin C per tablet.
Chewette C-500 Tablet :
Ascorbic Acid 336mg and Sodium Ascorbate 212.6mg equivalent to 500mg
of Vitamin C per tablet.
INDICATIONS
As a dietary supplement.
PRECAUTIONS
-
Caution in patients with gout, hemochromatosis, sideroblastic anemia,
thalassemia or hyperoxaluria.

Tolerance may be induced in patients taking high doses.
MAIN SIDE/ADVERSE EFFECTS
Flushing or redness of skin, headache, stomach cramps, nausea and
vomiting may occur infrequently.
OVERDOSAGE
Clinical features
:
Renal calcium oxalate calculi, diarrhoea and diuresis.
Treatment consists of withdrawing vitamin C therapy, or as directed by
physician.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
:
Chewette C-100 Tablet
Adults
: 3-4 tablets daily.
Children(3-12 years old) : 1-2 tablets daily.
