WHAT APO-MONTELUKAST IS USED
FOR
APO-MONTELUKAST is a prescription
medication containing the active
ingredient, Montelukast sodium. APO-
MONTELUKAST is intended for the
preventive and long term treatment of
asthma in adults 15 years of age and
older. This medication is also sometime
used for the relief of daytime and
nighttime symptoms of seasonal allergic
rhinitis.
HOW APO-MONTELUKAST WORKS
APO-MONTELUKAST is in a class of
medications called leukotriene receptor
antagonists (LTRAs). It works by
blocking the action of substances in the
body that cause the symptoms of asthma
and allergic rhinitis.
