Acne-specific Erythromycin Preparation for External Use
INFORMATION FOR USE
COMPOSITION
10 g solution contain: erythromycin 0.2 g; ethanol 9.25 g.
INDICATIONS
All forms of acne, particularly inflammatory forms with papules and
pustules.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
The preparation may not be used in hypersensitivity to erythromycin.
SIDE-EFFECTS
Drying, reddening, burning and pruritus at the skin may occur.
DOSAGE AND EMPLOYMENT
Unless otherwise prescribed, Akne-mycin should be applied sparingly
twice a day to the affected 
skin parts.
SPECIAL NOTES
Akne-mycin should not be used after the expiration date shown on the
pack.
Akne-mycin should not get into the eyes.
DRUGS SHOULD BE KEPT OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN!
PROPERTIES
Akne-mycin is an effective preparation for external antibiotic therapy
of acne.
The main active ingredient, erythromycin, penetrates into the ducts
of the sebaceous glands  
and unfolds its specific effect at this site against those bacteria
which are involved in the  
development of acne.
The alcoholic base supports the antibacterial effect of erythromycin
and furthermore it dissolves 
the sebum which is produced excessively in acne.
Akne-mycin solution is applied from the special applicator bottle
directly to the skin, thereby  
application is simple, hygienic and furthermore economic. The
construction of the applicator 
prevents contaminants from the skin to get into the solution.
How to make Akne-mycin solution ready for use:
Prior to first use press the screw-cap upside down against the
applicator (see figure). This opens 
the safety valve, and Akne-mycin solution can be applied.
