VAD TRIOBE ÄR OCH VAD DET ANVÄNDS FÖR
TrioBe innehåller tre B-vitaminer (folsyra, vitamin B
12
och vitamin B
6
). B-vitaminer är
viktiga för att upprätthålla cellernas naturliga funktioner.
TrioBe ska användas vid förebyggandet av symtomgivande brist på
vitamin B
6
, vitamin B
12
och folsyra vid otillräckligt födointag eller dåligt upptag av
näring, framförallt hos äldre.

VAD DU BEHÖVER VETA INNAN DU ANVÄNDER TRIOBE
ANVÄND INTE TRIOBE
- om du är allergisk mot de aktiva substanserna eller något annat
innehållsämne i detta
läkemedel (anges i avsnitt 6).
- i förebyggande syfte om du har fött ett barn med ryggmärgsbråck,
eftersom högre doser av
folsyra än i TrioBe behövs.
VARNINGAR OCH FÖRSIKTIGHET
Tala med
läkare eller apotekspersonal innan du använder TrioBe.
TrioBe är inte avsett för behandling av symtomgivande brist på de
ingående vitaminerna.
Effektiv behandling av olika typer av anemier (blodbrist) kan kräva
behandling med
injektioner av vitamin B

4.1
THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
Prevention of symptomatic vitamin B
6
, vitamin B
12
and folic acid deficiency due to
insufficient food intake or malabsorption, primarily in the elderly.
4.2
POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
For oral use. 1 tablet daily with water.
4.3
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients
listed in section 6.1.
Secondary prevention of NTD (neural tube defects).
4.4
SPECIAL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
TrioBe is not intended for the treatment of symptomatic deficiencies
of the vitamins included.
Especially, it should be noted that the effective treatment of
manifest megaloblastic anaemia
and pernicious anaemia may need parenteral administration of vitamin B
12
at the start of
therapy. TrioBe should not be used in patients who have been subject
to major resection of the
small intestine.
This medicine contains less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per tablet,
that is to say essentially
‘sodium-free’.

INTERACTION WITH OTHER MEDICINAL PRODUCTS AND OTHER FORMS OF
INTERACTION
Folic acid may increase the metabolism of some antiepileptics, such as
phenobarbital and
phenytoin. It may also interfere with the action of folic acid
antagonists such as methotrexate,
trimethoprim and pyrimethamin.
Concurrent use of altretamine and Pyridoxine may result in reduced
response to altretamine.
Pyridoxin increases the metabolism of levodopa and can lead to reduced
clinical effect when
levodopa is used without a dopa decarboxylase inhibitor.
