dry period.
Each “easi” syringe contains 250 mg cephalonium in a long-acting
base.

ROMAGEL VS
Each 3 g single dose “easi” syringe contains 250 mg cephalonium in
a long-acting base.
USES
Use in dairy cows as an integral/routine part of mastitis control.
Use ROMAGEL VS
-
to treat subclinical mastitis present at drying off;
-
for reduction of new infections at drying off and during the dry
period;
-
to help reduce SCC’s and mastitis in the subsequent lactation.
Dry cow therapy should be used in conjunction with teat spraying and
proper
management of the cow.
BY LAW THE USER MUST TAKE DUE CARE, OBTAINING EXPERT ADVICE WHEN
NECESSARY, TO
AVOID UNNECESSARY PAIN AND DISTRESS WHEN USING THE PRODUCT OTHER THAN
AS DIRECTED
ON THE LABEL.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Treat each cow immediately following its final milking for the season.
Do not delay
administration.
When using dry cow preparations, care must be taken not to introduce
infection into
the udder. Clean the teat thoroughly with cotton wool soaked in
methylated spirits. Allow
to dry. Partially insert nozzle and infuse the full contents of
syringe into the teat canal.
Spray carefully with an approved teat spray.
Read detailed infusion procedure on other side of carton.
PRECAUTIONS
Dry cow therapy should be used at drying off only. Use immediately
after the last
seasonal milking only. Lactating cow products should be used if
retreatment is required
during the dry period.
Dry cow preparations must not be used in lactating cows.
