NOROMECTIN ORAL is a ready to use solution of ivermectin 0.8 mg/mL, a broad-spectrum antiparasitic treatment for sheep. INDICATIONS: NOROMECTIN ORAL IS EFFECTIVE IN the treatment and control of the following – GASTROINTESTINAL ROUNDWORMS, including infective 3 rd stage -‘L3’, 4 th stage -‘L4’ and adults (including arrested or hypobiotic stages*): _Haemonchus contortus*, Ostertagia circumcincta*, Trichostrongylus axei, T. colubriformis, T vitrinus, _ _Cooperia oncophora, C. curticei, Oesophagostomum venulosum, Nematodirus spathiger, N. filicollis, _ _Strongyloides papillosus, Chabertia ovina, _and_ Trichuris ovis_. LUNGWORMS (immature and adult): _Dictyocaulus filaria _ NASAL BOT (all 3 larval instars): _Oestrus ovis_ ITCHMITE: _Psorergates ovis _ ANTHELMINTIC RESISTANT STRAINS: NOROMECTIN ORAL is effective against strains of _ Haemonchus contortus, Ostertagia circumcincta _ and_ _ _Trichostrongylus colubriformis_ which have been demonstrated to be tolerant to benzimidazoles, levamisole and morantel. RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT: NOROMECTIN ORAL contains ivermectin, a member of the macrocyclic lactone family of drenches. Resistance can develop to any anthelmintic. To delay onset of resistance: • It is advisable that a resistance test be conducted regularly when using any parasite treatment. • A representative sample of animals should be weighed before treatment.
