WHAT IT CONTAINS
Active ingredient: Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 2.0%, the cream also
contains: Propyl Hydroxybenzoate,
Liquid Paraffin, Emulsifying Wax and Purified Water.
ABOUT THE ACTIVE INGREDIENT
Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride is an antihistamine which works by
blocking the skin’s response to histamine
release. Histamine is an agent responsible for causing the pain
associated with allergic responses.
WHAT THE CREAM IS FOR
This medicine is intended for the relief of minor discomforts due to
allergic conditions of the skin. Such condi-
tions include rashes and itches, stings and insect bites.
WHEN NOT TO USE THE CREAM
Do not use if you know you suffer from sensitivity to antihistamines
or to benzoates. Do not apply to eczema, or
conditions where the skin is broken or producing any form of wet
discharge.
SPECIAL WARNINGS
Keep away from the eyes, nose and mouth. Apply sparingly, avoiding
prolonged or repeated applications
especially to large areas. Not suitable for children under six years
of age. Before taking this medicine please
inform your doctor or pharmacist whether you are suffering from:
glaucoma, any respiratory disease,
hypertrophy of the prostate, hyperthyroidism, peptic ulcer, hepatic or
kidney disease, hypertension, asthma.
USE WITH ALCOHOL
Simultaneous use of oral Diphenhydramine with alcohol may increase the
symptoms of dizziness or sleepiness.
IF YOU ARE PREGNANT OR TRYING TO BECOME PREGNANT
The cream is considered safe for use during pregnancy, however it is
wise to be cautious before using any
medicines at this time.
DRIVING & USE OF MACHINES
Do not drive or use machinery when taking Diphenhydramine by mouth.
USAGE
For external use only. Apply sparingly to the affected area. Do not
use more than twice daily or for longer than
three days.
TAKING OTHER MEDICATION
You should inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have been using
during the
