Date of revision WHAT CELEXIN CAPSULE IS USED FOR Celexin Capsule is to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria. It can be used to treat: • Respiratory tract infections • Genitourinary tract infections • Skin infections • Middle Ear infections • Bones and joints infections HOW CELEXIN CAPSULE WORKS Cephalexin belongs to a group of antibiotics called cephalosporins. Cephalexin works by killing the bacteria causing your infection or by stopping its growth. BEFORE YOU USE CELEXIN CAPSULE _- When you must not use it _ _ _ Do not take this medicine if: • you are allergic or hypersensitive to cephalexin and cephalosporins. • you are allergic or hypersensitive to penicillin. • it is not prescribed by a qualified doctor or pharmacist for you. Do not take this medicine after the expiry date printed on the pack or if the packaging is damaged. If you are not sure whether you should start taking this medicine, talk to your pharmacist or doctor. _Pregnancy and lactation _ _ _ Do not take Celexin Capsule if you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant or think you may be pregnant.
