For more comprehensive information, a Professional Brochure is available to physicians upon request FOR DERMATOLOGICAL USE ONLY TRIDERM ® CREAM Brand of betamethasone dipropionate, clotrimazole and gentamicin sulfate DESCRIPTION: Each gram of TRIDERM Cream contains 0.64mg betamethasone dipropionate, equivalent to 0.5mg betamethasone, 10mg clotrimazole and gentamicin sulfate equivalent to 1.0mg of gentamicin base. INACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Mineral oil, white petrolatum, cetostearyl alcohol, polyethylene glycol 1000 monocetyl ether, benzyl alcohol, sodium phosphate monobasic, monohydrate, phosphoric acid, sodium hydroxide, propylene glycol, purified water. ACTIONS: TRIDERM Cream combines the sustained anti-inflammatory, antipuritic and vasoconstrictive actions of betamethasone dipropionate with the broad spectrum antifungal activity of clotrimazole and the wide-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic activity of gentamicin sulfate. Clotrimazole appears to act on the fungal cell membrane, causing leakage of cell contents. Gentamicin provides highly effective topical treatment in primary and secondary bacterial infection of the skin. PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC GROUP: Topical corticosteroid and anti-infectives in combination. INDICATIONS AND USAGE: TRIDERM Cream is indicated for the relief of the inflammatory manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses when complicated by secondary infection caused by organisms sensitive to the components of this dermatologic preparation or when the possibility of such infections is suspected.
