WHAT RISEDRONATE SANDOZ COMBI D IS USED FOR This medicine is used to treat the following _ _ bone diseases: osteoporosis (brittle or fragile bones that may fracture easily) osteoporosis caused by taking steroids. Risedronate Sandoz Combi D is a composite pack which contains two different medicines: Risedronate Sandoz contains the active ingredient risedronate sodium. Risedronate sodium belongs to a group of medicines called biphosphonates. It works directly on your bones to make them stronger and therefore less likely to break or fracture, by slowing down the process of old bone being removed and helping to rebuild bone mass. Calcium-D Sandoz contains the active ingredients calcium carbonate and cholecalciferol (Vitamin D). Calcium carbonate is a source of calcium, which your body needs to build new bone. Cholecaciferol (Vitamin D) is a nutrient that helps calcium absorption. ASK YOUR DOCTOR IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT WHY THIS MEDICINE HAS BEEN PRESCRIBED FOR YOU. Risedronate Sandoz film-coated tablets: Each Risedronate Sandoz 35mg film-coated tablet contains 35mg risedronate sodium equivalent to 32.5mg risedronic acid.
