WHAT HYDRINATE IS USED FOR
Hydrinate
is
used
for
the
following conditions:
●
Prevention
and
treatment
of
nausea,
vomiting,
and
dizziness
due
to
motion
sickness
●
Irradiation sickness
●
Vomiting after surgery
●
Nausea and vomiting due
to medicine
●
Symptomatic treatment of
nausea and dizziness due to
Meniere’s
Disease
and
other
inner
ear
disturbances
Your
doctor
may
have
prescribed Hydrinate for other
reason
not
mentioned
above.
Ask your doctor if you have any
questions about why Hydrinate
has been prescribed for you.
HOW HYDRINATE WORKS
Hydrinate is an antihistamine
and anticholinergic. It works in
the
brain
and
inner
ear
to
decrease the feeling of nausea,
vomiting, and dizziness.
BEFORE YOU USE HYDRINATE

_When you must not take it _
Do not take Hydrinate if you
have an allergy to:
●
Dimenhydrinate
or
other
antihistamine
●
Any of the ingredients listed
at the end of this leaflet.
Please do not give this medicine
to
premature
or
newborn
babies.
If you are not sure whether you
should take this medicine, talk
to your doctor.

_Before you start to use it _
Inform your doctor if:
●
You
have
bladder
neck
obstruction,
prostate
enlargement
and
any
condition
with
urinary
retention
(inability
to
empty bladder).
●
You have or used to have
increased eye pressure
●
You have Gastrointestinal
tract
obstruction,
severe
heart
and
blood
vessel
disease, or epilepsy
●
You
are
due
to
undergo
skin allergy test
it
is
recommended
that
dimenhydrinate
be
discontinued at least 72 hours
before testing begins.
Tell
your
doctor
if
you
are
pregnant / planning to become
pregnant or breastfeeding.
