Highly important antibiotic
INDICATIONS
For the treatment of infections caused by bacteria sensitive to
penicillin in cattle, sheep, horses,
pigs, dogs and cats. A beta-lactamase susceptible antimicrobial with a
narrow spectrum of activity
against sensitive aerobic and anaerobic Gram-positive bacteria and
some Gram-negative
bacteria.
CATTLE: Bacterial pneumonia (_Pasteurella multocida_, _Mannheimia
haemolytica_); calf diphtheria
(_Fusobacterium necrophorum_); footrot (_Fusobacterium necrophorum_);
metritis and retained foetal
membranes (_Fusobacterium necrophorum_, _Trueperella pyogenes_);
clinical mastitis
(_Streptococcus_ spp. and _Staphylococcus_ spp. sensitive to
penicillin), naval infections
(_Streptococcus_ spp. _Mannheimia haemolytica_, _Staphylococcus_
spp.); wound infections
(_Streptococcus_ spp. and _Staphylococcus_ spp.); Clostridial disease
including tetanus (_Clostridium _
_tetani_) and Blackleg (_Clostridium chauvoei_), enterotoxaemia
(_Clostridium perfringens_); listeriosis
(_Listeria monocytogenes_); Leptospirosis (_Leptospira_ spp.).
SHEEP: Bacterial pneumonia (_Mannheimia haemolytica_); metritis and
retained foetal membranes
(_Trueperella pyogenes_); Infectious Arthritis (_Streptococcus_ spp.
