HIBITANE TEATSPRAY CONCENTRATE
FOR MASTITIS CONTROL.
THIS PACK CONTAINS ENOUGH CONCENTRATE TO MAKE 50 [200, 250, 1000 OR
2000] LITRES OF
TEATSPRAY.
ACTIVE INGREDIENT: CHLORHEXIDINE DIGLUCONATE 45 G/LITRE
ACTIVITY
HIBITANE has broad spectrum activity (95% minimum efficacy) against
the mastitis causing
bacteria; staphylococci, pseudomonas and coliforms, as well as many
yeasts and moulds.
HIBITANE exerts antibacterial action within one minute of application
and is increasingly effective
as time passes. It is effective against bacterial colonisation for the
normal period between milkings
and remains active in the presence of milk, blood and other organic
matter.
HIBITANE will not taint or leave detectable residues in milk or milk
products. It is non-irritating to
cow’s teats and milker’s skin and is non-corrosive to metal and
rubberware.
USE DIRECTIONS
BY LAW THE USER MUST TAKE DUE CARE, OBTAINING EXPERT ADVICE WHEN
NECESSARY, TO AVOID
UNNECESSARY PAIN AND DISTRESS WHEN USING THE PRODUCT OTHER THAN AS
DIRECTED ON THE LABEL.
DILUTIONS
1. WITH WATER ONLY
Add 1 part HIBITANE to 9 parts water.
2. WITH WATER AND EMOLLIENT
Emollient may be added to HIBITANE to aid the healing of creaked teats
and maintain teat
condition. Glycerine is the recommended emollient.
FOR A 10% GLYCERINE LEVEL IN THE SPRAY SOLUTION
Add 1 part HIBITANE and 1 part glycerine to 8 parts water.
FOR A 20% GLYCERINE LEVEL IN THE SPRAY SOLUTION
Add 1 part HIBITANE and 2 parts glycerine to 7 parts water.
