WHAT DYNA U SUSPENSION IS USED FOR
Indicated for the treatment of
inflammation of the lining of stomach,
excessive level of gastric juice and
intestinal wind.
HOW DYNA U SUSPENSION WORKS
Aluminium and Magnesium Hydroxide
react chemically to neutralize or buffer
existing quantities of stomach acid.
Simethicone has antifoaming
properties. It changes surface tension of
gas bubbles causing them to coalesce.
BEFORE YOU USE DYNA U SUSPENSION

_When you must not use it _
Do not use Dyna U Suspension in cases
of:

Kidney impairment
-
Low phosphate content in blood
-
Appendix inflammation or symptoms
-
Undiagnosed gastrointestinal or rectal
bleeding
-
Long term diarrhoea
-
Intestinal obstruction

Ask your doctor or pharmacists for
advice before taking Dyna U
Suspension.

_Before you start to use it _
Tell your doctor if you have known to
be hypersensitive to bisulphites or other
ingredients.

_Taking other medicines _
Caution is needed where medicines
such as tetracyclines or iron salts should
be given 1 to 2 hours apart.
Tell your doctor if you are taking any
other medicines, including any that you
buy without a prescription from a
pharmacy, supermarket or health food
shop.

PHARMACODYNAMICS:
Aluminium and Magnesium Hydroxide react chemically to neutralize or
buffer existing quantities of stomach acid but
it has no direct on its output. This action results in increased pH
value of the stomach contents. Between pH 7 and 8,
pepsin is irreversibly inactivated.
Simethicone has antifoaming properties. It changes the surface tension
of gas bubbles causing them to coalesce.
PHARMACOKINETICS:
Small amounts of the Aluminium in Aluminium Hydroxide are absorbed
from the intestine. Approximately 10% of the
Magnesium in Magnesium Hydroxide is absorbed from the intestine.
Excretion is renal and fecal. 15 to 39% of the
salts formed are absorbed and excreted by the kidneys. The excretion
of Simethicone is fecal, as the unchanged drug.
INDICATION:
Gastritis, hyperacidity and flatulence.
RECOMMENDED DOSE:
Adults: 1 to 2 teaspoonfuls (5 ml to 10 ml). To be taken after meals
and at bedtime or when required.
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:
FOR ORAL USE ONLY
CONTRAINDICATION:
This preparation should not be used in cases of renal impairment,
hypophosphatemia, appendicitis or symptoms,
undiagnosed gastrointestinal or rectal bleeding, chronic diarrhoea and
intestinal obstruction.
WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS:
This preparation may alter the absorption or other drugs and therefore
drugs such as tetracyclines or iron salts should
be given 1 to 2 hours apart. The maximum dosage should not be taken
for more than 2 weeks except under the advice
or supervision of a physician. Overuse may inhibit the enzymatic
activity of pepsin which is ineffective at pH 4 and
above.
