WHAT DHNP HYDROXYUREA IS USED
FOR
DHNP Hydroxyurea is used to treat
various types of cancers such as
leukemia and cancer of the ovary.
HOW DHNP HYDROXYUREA WORKS
DHNP Hydroxyurea, an anti-cancer
medicine. It acts by interfering with
the growth of cancer cells
BEFORE YOU USE DHNP
HYDROXYUREA
_- When you must not use it _
Do not take DHNP Hydroxyurea:
- if you have an allergy to
hydroxyurea, or any of the ingredient
in the medicine.
- if your bone marrow function is
markedly depressed
(e.g. reduction in
white blood cells, red blood cells or
platelets)
_- Before you start to use it _
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for
advice before taking any medicine.

_Pregnancy and lactation _
Do not take DHNP Hydroxyurea if
you are pregnant or intended to
become pregnant. It may cause harm
to the unborn baby if it is given to a
man or woman before conception, or
to a pregnant woman.
DHNP Hydroxyurea passes into
breast milk. Do not take it if you are
breastfeeding.

Before starting the treatment, tell
your doctor if you have or have had
any of the following conditions:
- Previously received therapy of
cytotoxic medication
- have received radiotherapy in the
past
- kidney dysfunction.

_- Taking other medicines _
Tell your doctor if you are taking any
other medicines, including vaccines,
or any that you buy without a
prescription from your pharmacy,
supermarket or health food shop
Some medicines and DHNP
Hydroxyurea may interfere with each
other. These include:
- Previous or concomitant
radiotherapy or cytotoxic therapy.

- medications which can cau
