This is resin-based dental material used for the treatment of dentinal hypersensitivity caused by all irritating agents of the dentine: 1) physical (cold, heat, contact); 2) chemical (acid erosion); 3) physiological (abrasion, tooth erosion)and fluoride treatment. It is applied to the surface of the dentine (tooth surface) and typically consists of potassium nitrate, and sodium fluoride mixed with a hydroxyethyl methacrylate resin in the form of a fluid. This is a single-use device.
