WHAT _COTREN_
IS USED FOR
_Cotren_
is used to treat vaginal infections
caused by fungi – mainly candida and/or
trichomonas.
HOW _COTREN_
WORKS
_Cotren _
inhibits or kills many fungi,
including yeasts and dermatophytes; it is
also effective against sexually
transmitted infection.
BEFORE YOU USE _COTREN_

_When you must not use it _
- If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to
clotrimazole or any components of the
preparation.
- During your period as it may be less
effective

_Pregnancy and lactation _
Please consult your doctor or pharmacist
if
you
are
pregnant,
planning
for
pregnancy or breast-feeding before using
any medicine.

_Before you start to use it _
Check with your doctor or pharmacist
before taking
_Cotren _
if:
- If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to
clotrimazole or any components of the
preparation.

_Taking other medicines _
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if
you are taking, or have recently taken
any other medicines. This includes any
medicines which you have bought
without a prescription.
Especially if you are taking:
•
tacrolimus and sirolimus
(immunosuppressive drugs)
HOW TO USE _COTREN_

_How much to use _
Follow all directions given to you by
your doctor and pharmacist carefully.
They may differ from the information
contained in this leaflet. If you do not
understand the instructions on the
label, ask your doctor or pharmacist
for help.
2 tablets are inserted as deeply as
possible into the vagina on three
consecutive nights.
Or
1 tablet is inserted as deeply as
possible into the vagina on six
consecutive nights.
