SOLCOSERYL
® DENTAL ADHESIVE PASTE
To treat painful wounds in the oral mucosa, such as aphthae and
denture pressure sores
COMPOSITION
Active ingredients:
S o l c o s e r y l
( Protein-free calf blood dialysate (Bos taurus), in
terms of dry matter -2,125mg; Polidocanol-10,000mg.
Excipients:
Sodium carbxymethylcellulose, Methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218),
propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), peppermint oil, menthol.
Paste base: Sodium carboxymethylcellulose, gelatine, pectin,
polyethylene, liquid
paraffin.
GALENICAL FORM AND QUANTITY OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCE PER DOSAGE UNIT
1 g of Solcoseryl Dental Adhesive Paste contains:
2.125 mg of protein-free calf blood dialysate (Bos taurus),and
10.000 mg of Polidocanol.
INDICATIONS AND USES
-
For treatment of painful and inflammatory disorders of the oral
mucosa, the gums and the
lips: aphtae, herpes of the lip, gingivitis, paradontitis;
-
for denture pressure sores (decubitus);
-
for problems associated with eruption of wisdom teeth
-
as wound dressing after scaling, curettage, periodontal operations,
extractions and fitting
of immediate dentures, alveolitis.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
_Adults and children from 5 years of age _
Unless otherwise prescribed, apply a ribbon of paste about ½ cm long
thinly to the lesion 3-
5 times a day. This is particularly recommended before retiring for
the night.
Repeat treatment until the symptoms have disappeared.
The paste must not be massaged in. To improve adhesion it is
recommended to previously
dry the area where the paste shall be applied to.
Solcoseryl Dental Adhesive Paste forms a film which adheres for a long
time on the oral
mucosa and protects it from irritation when eating.
