WHAT _HYPERSOR_ IS USED FOR
For treatment of chest pain and
hypertension, and prophylactic treatment of
heart attack.
HOW _HYPERSOR_ WORK
Metoprolol has properties blocking chest
pain and lowering blood pressure. Its chest
pain blocking efferct is probably due to
reduced oxygen requirement of the heart
and lowering blood pressure effect may
include reduced heart output, decreased
outflow to hands and feet and inhibition of
enzyme renin release by the kidney.
BEFORE YOU USE _HYPERSOR _
_When you must not take it _
Metoprolol may aggravate slow heartbeat,
symptoms of peripheral arterial circulatory
disorders and serious allergic reaction,
which causes difficulty in breathing or
dizziness.
Caution in patients with history of allergy
or mental depression, bronchial asthma,
congestive heart failure, hypoglycaemia,
severe hepatic or renal function impairment.
_Before you start to take it _
Tell your doctor if you have heart failure or
heart rates less than 45 beats/min, severe
blood problems of hands or feet. Known
hypersensitivity to metoprolol or other


blockers drugs. Caution when driving of
doing jobs requiring alertness because of
possible drowsiness or dizziness.
_Taking other medications _
Concurrent use with general anaesthetics
may increase the risk of myocardial
depression and hypotension.
Co-administration of calcium channel
blocking agents or clonidine may potentiate
antihypertensive effects.
Concomitant therapy with
sympathomimetic amines having beta-
adrenergic stimulant activity may result in
mutual inhibition of the therapeutic effects.
Cimetidine may increase metoprolol effect
because of increased blood concent
