NAYLOR DEHORNING PASTE Read this sheet completely before dehorning any animal. WHEN TO DEHORN Dr. Naylor Dehorning Paste is best used on calves up to eight (8) weeks of age. It is most easily used on very young calves. The younger the calf is when treated, the better. Shock and pain are negligible and dehorning is quickly and easily done. Dehorning Paste may be used in most areas at any time of the year; there is no cutting, no bleeding, no fly problems! HOW TO DEHORN ALL ANIMALS: Be careful to apply a thin, even coating of Dehorning Paste, and only as directed. Remove hair over horn button (bud) with shears or clippers in order to see that application is in the right place and in direct contact with the skin. To contain the paste, apply a ring of Dr. Naylor Udder Balm or petroleum jelly beyond the Paste application area. If treated calves are confined in pens, tie them away from other animals to prevent rubbing paste on one another. Do not allow treated animals to nurse. Keep animals out of rain after Dehorning Paste has been applied. YO Lees het volledige document
