DIRECTIONS FOR USE: BY LAW THE USER MUST TAKE DUE CARE, OBTAINING EXPERT ADVICE WHEN NECESSARY, TO AVOID UNNECESSARY PAIN AND DISTRESS WHEN USING THE PRODUCT OTHER THAN AS DIRECTED ON THE LABEL. CAUTION: AVOID CARCASS DAMAGE. When treating hypomagnesaemia (grass/lactating tetany) an initial treatment with a magnesium salt solution should be given as well as this product. DOSAGE: (by intravenous injection) Intravenous use of metabolic solutions may be hazardous to the animal, and advice from a veterinarian should be sought before administration. While occluding the jugular vein below the site for injection, insert the needle and ensure that blood flow is found. Connect draw-off tube to needle and elevate the pouch. Inject SLOWLY, up to 500mL of BLUE CROSS 4 IN 1 INJECTION. (by subcutaneous injection) Cattle: Small cows: 350mL Large cows: 350mL – 700mL Discard un-used portion. If possible warm solution to body temperature prior to injection. Snap tip off plug, ensuring the solution can flow freely and connect the sterile needle provided. Disinfect the injection site and insert the needle under the skin of the neck or over the ribs. Gently squeeze the bag to inject the contents. Large volumes should be distributed over more than one injection site. If complete recovery does not occur within 3-4 hours repeat injection and seek veterinary advice.
