SECTION 2 HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
This product is classified as not dangerous goods but is classified as
hazardous according to the classification criteria of
NOHSC:1008(2004), Approved Criteria for Classifying Hazardous
Substances and the National Code of Practice for the
Preparation of Material Safety Data Sheets 2

Exposure to acepromazine maleate can result in harmful effects at
higher concentrations. However, the concentration of
acepromazine maleate in this product is below the cut-off
concentration which would make this product a hazardous
substance.
However, the concentration of benzyl alcohol is at the lower limit
(≥1%) at which it should be taken into account in the
classification of hazardous substances. Harmful if swallowed, inhaled
or absorbed through the skin. Severe irritant for
eyes, skin and respiratory system.
