After immersion service of ABC3, high pressure fresh water wash is required prior to topcoating with additional ABC3. Apply over suitable primer system or clean, intact, existing bottom system. Sea-prep 88 or Amercoat 88 may be used diluted 2 to 1, to assist cleaning, and adhesion of new antifouling. Where primer/undercoat has failed, consult your Ameron technical representative for specific recommendations. NOTE If applying ABC3 over epoxy coatings, apply first coat of antifouling while epoxy is still soft to fingernail. Failure to apply antifouling coating while epoxy is still soft may result in poor adhesion between coatings, and delamination of antifouling from the epoxy.
