Restraints
DO NOT USE on cattle which are producing or may in the future produce
milk for human consumption.

This product is contraindicated for use on pregnant cows within
6 weeks of calving to avoid handling stress.
!
Re-treat when you first see ticks but not before at least 6 weeks
after
the previous treatment.
!
Maximum number of treatments per annual tick season: 3
!
Apply in two bands, about 7 cm wide, on each side of the spine between
the
rump and the shoulders with a suitable applicator.
!
The weight of cattle should be determined by either scales or a
weighband. Dose
individuals according to the heaviest animal in the mob. DO NOT
underdose.
!
There is no need to treat calves as long as they suckle treated cows.
Calves will
receive adequate protection from their mother.
A reduced length of protection may occur in cows which are suckling
calves.
!
Oztik Pour-On Tick Inhibitor for Cattle should not be applied to show
cattle as a light scurfiness may be visible for some time after
treatment.
!
Oztik Pour-On Tick Inhibitor for Cattle is a Tick Development
Inhibitor and kills ticks progressively. It can take 2 to 3 weeks for
cattle to be visibly free of ticks. No additional treatment is
necessary during that time, even on heavily infested animals.
The development inhibiting effect of Oztik Pour-On Tick Inhibitor
for Cattle commences within 3 days of treatment.

Harmful if swallowed.

CHRONIC
Repeated exposure to one of the solvents may cause allergic disorders.
Tests on the active ingredient fluazuron have shown no evidence of
mutagenicity, carcinogenicity, teratogenicity or reproductive effects.

If poisoning occurs contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre

TECHNICAL NOTES
ACTIVE CONSTITUENTS
Fluazuron 25 g/L
ACTIONS
A tick development inhibitor that kills ticks progressively;
therefore, it can take two to three weeks for cattle to be visibly
free of ticks.
No additional treatment is necessary during that time, even on heavily
infested animals. Oztik begins to inhibit tick development
within three days of treatment and may give adequate control of ticks
for prolonged periods, depending on growth of cattle and the
effects of lactation.
INDICATIONS
For the strategic control of susceptible cattle tick, _Boophilus
microplus_, (including all known acaricide resistant strains) on beef
cattle.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not treat pregnant cows within six weeks of calving to avoid
handling stress.
RESTRAINTS
DO NOT USE on cattle which are producing, or may in the future produce
milk for human consumption.
WITHHOLDING PERIODS
MEAT: DO NOT USE less than 42 days before slaughter for human
consumption. Calves which have suckled on treated cows must not
